My name is Derek and I’m currently a Women’s Studies major at the University of Alberta. I try to involve myself with feminism as much as possible, but it’s difficult as I’m only 21 and I’ve only recently begun. I enjoy writing, so a blog is pretty essential to me.

Hey! Nice blog. Is that a threadless t-shirt you’re wearing? if so, good job ;)

Thanks, Desi! That most certainly is a Threadless shirt, too. I should also thank you for directing my attention back to this page. It’s severely lacking and I should probably update it!

Ho hum, well you no doubt know that I like your blog! Thank goodness for you and Feministing - you’re changing the way I view the world all the time. America gets such bad press in England, and people generally have seemed pretty shit lately, but people like you are a constant reminder that there is good in the world. Thanks for cheering me up! =]

Hey, just wanted to drop a note to say that finding your blog made my day. I am always encouraged and made hopeful when I find thoughtful male feminists (or pro-feminists, as the case may be ^_^).
So thanks for making my day. :)

Thanx Derek!!! Now I have yet another blog to network and share info with for my own blog on women’s issues hehehhee :) When women tell me there aren’t men who care about feminism, I guess it’s up to us to prove ‘em wrong.

Hey, I stumbled upon your site and I’m definitely interested to read your views on feminism. It’s pretty rare to see a male blogger discussing feminism. Rock on.
