Because I’ve deleted several comments in the past few days, I think it’s important for me to bring up the issue of dissent on my blog. To be clear, dissent is great… When you do it properly. If you want a good example of this, read Tak’s comments on this post. It would be pretty unfair for me to delete his thoughtful and respectful comments.
Now, if you’re going to write things like this:
This is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever read in my life. I’m a rapist if we’re both drunk? What the fuck?
… Or this:
US Men don’t want mentally impaired or deranged Entitlement Queens and Princesses. And are just saying NO Thanks to everything connected with you.
… Then please don’t expect your comment to last long and expect your IP address to be moderated, depending on the comment and how I feel. Also, I really don’t think this needs to be said, but anti-feminist bullshit isn’t tolerated here. Example:
Feminists have done a great job of creating fear, distrust and hatred of Men in Women. Feminism is the theory Lesbianism is the practice.
If you have a problem with feminism, though, feel free to raise those concerns, when appropriate. (See Tak’s comments again for an example.) If I feel your comments aren’t on topic, though, I may very well just delete them, depending on how far off they are, but I’ll probably provide a warning first.
I hope this addresses any concerns and the accusations of censorship from the MRAs that I feel are nigh.

The MRAs crack me up with their constant cries of “censorship!” Never mind that they don’t seem to understand what that word actually means (hint: no, you do not have the inexorable right to scream your head off in other people’s houses and not get your ass thrown onto the lawn) but isn’t it the women - especially us touchy humorless feminists - who are supposed to be so “sensitive?” Not those manly-men, surely not! And yet, whenever I read their comments, I just want to holler for the waaaahmbulance.

I couldn’t have said it better myself, Amber!

It is for this reason and many, many others that my ‘about’ page on my site now includes a comment policy. I was getting waaaaay too many comments telling me my sexual orientation and how I am undoubtedly expected to whip up a great meal; of course, the comments at hand were not written so eloquently.
